Can someone look over my 900 dollar build?

Thread Starter
I already have two 20'' monitors so I don't need to include a monitor. The reason I am posting is to make sure I didn't make any big mistakes in picking parts out and that all the things I picked are of quality and will work with each other.

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=11511309
(public wishlist)

note that if anyone wants to suggest different parts make sure they are within the same price range i want to keep this build at this price for the most part. I am pretty sure that the case only comes with a front and rear fan so i may need help picking out more fans to put into the case.

thanks in advanced guys (1st post yay!)

i would suggest you get a heat sink to replace the stock one that comes with your cpu, and maybe split your 1TB into 2 500gb drives. one for the os and programs and one for storage

Get different RAM.
Get this kit of DDR3-1600 RAM. It is DDR3-1600 2x4GB for $75, a full $10 less than that generic 1333 CL9 kit you chose.

Get this Samsung F3 1TB + Antec EA-650 Green for $130. You are still getting a quality 650W but now save $25.

If you can afford to wait, get this motherboard. AM3+ expandable with Crossfire 8x-8x, for same price. Just not in stock right now.

Get this Windows 7 Home Premium for $95. Difference with this one is that SP1 is not included, but you can install SP1 later on for free. Not worth the $5 premium to have it included.

That DVD drive is actually not a good deal since it is $20, but then overpriced $7 shipping. This drive is $21 shipped after promo. It is also 24X and slightly faster.

With this kind of budget I also highly recommend you look at a solid state drive.

Seems very good. If you can manage to spend another $50 or so though, I would get an Asus 6950 2gb.

You can get Windows 7/no SP1

for $95 also, it is in stock there

If you don't mind the loss of 8x-8x CrossfireX, the 880G PRO3 also has AM3+ socket at same price point
