If you up the BLK you'll also increase the ram speed.

In price/performance they are. I just ditch my Super Talents ($130 retail 2000 8-8-8-24 1.65v) for my G. Skills ($69.99 2133 9-11-9-28 1.6v).

I payed $98 for 4GB of 2000mhz 8-8-8 STT. And $130 for my 2133 8-8-8 kit that I have now. STT still wins fa sho.

And the PCIE speed, and the PCI speed, and god knows what else. It's been shown time and time again that it doesn't work past a 2-5% improvement.

In any case, memory bandwidth and latencies barely change the system performance in normal use - so for the vast majority of people they're an unnecessary expense.

The company also offers DDR3 1900MHz 48GB and DDR3 2200MHz 16GB kits.

48 GB kits? Gotta be a typo.

It's 2300 MHz at CL9. That's not bad.

The timings...
Why so high!!!?!?!?!?

To me working knowledge, SB supports 1.65v, 1.5v for ram only if you are overclocking high end, that's why people are getting mixed up.

I've seen a lot of Gskill RAM sets with timings of 9-9-9-24 that can easily be tightened up to 7-7-7-24, I'm sure you can tighten these up to at least 8-8-8-24.

Speed has more affect on bandwidth and latency that timings do. At least on 1155, I can't remember what it was like with my AMD rig.

AMD lurrves low timings, and Intel is more of a balance with a favoring towards higher Mhz IIRC
