Well... you got to look at it like this.
That computer is not as bad as you think, and also.. take this into consideration...
I have no idea were you guys get your Windows 7 Ulti 64bit cd-keys... I am microsoft certified, so I get them from Microsoft for cheap monies.
If you say thats a 6-700 dollar computer, add on another 200 something dollars for an OS, because most "people" don't have the ability to "obtain" these keys such as some of us may.
So right there were atleast at 8-900 hundred dollars.
Now, I don't know about you, but I don't have a wireless card is my PC.. so tack on ATLEAST 30 dollars for a decent wireless card. I don't care if you can find a "cheaper & better" one I am just saying.
Comes with a blu-ray disc. I don't know much about em, but the cheapest burner on newegg is 77 dollars.
now were at roughly 9-1000$
....Also comes with a keyboard, and a mouse, as well as a "media remote" ..whatever the hell that is..
So lets says 1050$...
So I realize that HALF that **** isn't needed, but the point is, its there, and you need to take into account of it. Don't all jump on me, I understand that pre-builts are a joke, I am just saying, according to my quick, hack job price round up, in order to "TRY" and match this PC, it would cost you around 1050$.... So lets say best buy built there PC's, they would be making a 550$ profit off it. Which is reasonable.
Also, HP (to the general public...) is known as a "quality" computer company. So its like buying an Audi in the car world I guess. You guys make think other wise, but people I know think of HP to be the best, generally.
So for 550$ more, you can walk out with it, no building it, no installing the operating system, no running into problems, you know it will work (or you bring it back..)
So for the common man, maybe it is "worth it" to buy these computers, us, obviously not, we can build them to our own specifications, and put our money into performance, instead of wireless cards, and blu-ray burners...
Take it or leave it, don't flame, and don't argue with my price range, because I hacked it out in legit 5 minutes.
