The default settings in bios were 1.5v 1333mhz 9-9-9-24 in bios.
I bumped up the ram voltage to 1.56v and every thing is fine for me.

I manually entered all the RAM settings and it's still freezing when i load Prime95. Currently my CPU is running 4ghz @ 1.2v without a problem. This RAM thing seems to be my only issue now sadsmiley.gif

If your Ram is not running at its rated settings, even with a voltage bump, RMA is in order

Are they running too hot?
maybe your Northbridge needs a bump in voltage aswell, seeing as 8gb is a fair load on it.

Make sure the temps are all okay tho

i need 1.3v on my NB and 1.23 to run 100% stable with 8gbs.. but thats just me, however it may be of some help to you.

EDIT , obviously im not on ddr3, but you should still get the picture.

Well, i slowly worked my way up from 1.05 VCCIO (stock) to 1.15 but it was still freezing and I'm just not in the mood to deal with it tonight. I'll probably spend a day this weekend trying it out. Thanks for all the input, would have never tried it without the advice smile.gif

No point in changing VCCIO, most setups will happily do above rated RAM speeds at stock VCCIO. Play with your DRAM voltage instead.
