Custom TCP/IP settings for paticular access point

As the title implies I am looking for a way to make my windows 7 laptop switch from automatic ip configuration to using settings determined by me for the purpose of port forwarding *when i connect to a particular access point via wireless

By automatic ip configuration I'm assuming you mean dhcp. Here is a guide to turn that off: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc733099.aspx. Depending on your router another easy way to do this would be to simply assign a static ip address to your mac address. Hope this helps ^.^

Edit: I should note that of the two solutions, #2 should be by far the preferred way.

Create you a batch file using the information from this site. Set your rules in your router for your static address, and you are good to go.

You can change back and forth with a click of the mouse.

Alternatively if your router/ap and application support UPnP, it will automatically open the appropriate ports independent of your internal LAN IP.
