considering d14 or a silver arrow for my sandy bridge setup

so i finally bought a p8p67 pro and 8gbs of gskill rip jaws.
now i'm going to buy a 2500k from the marketplace or buy it from microcenter.

so i'm wondering what heatsink i should get for it. the case i have is the armor+ mx (mid size case) which would fit better with my setup? and also do you think 550watts would be enough for the heatsink, cpu, ram, mobo, and a 6850?

Both of those heatsink's are considered to be the best you can get, just depends on how much you want to spend. Out of the 2, Personally I would choose the silver arrow.

Your PSU will be enough but if you crossfire later your going to need to get a bigger one, just a heads up.

The D-14 has some clearance issues with large Ram heat spreaders. The ripjaws have a pretty high heatspreader so that may be an issue. They are both terrific coolers though. Will you be overclocking? If not, those are both kinda overkill..

Heres what I'm talking about http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/sh...2&postcount=39

And regarding your psu, what is the 12v rail rated at?

The Silver Arrow is quieter and has the awesome TY-140 fans included. It would be my first choice.

G.Skill Ripjaws are perfectly compatible with the D14:

Now, the question is: is your Tt case tall enough to accommodate a 140mm TY-140 over the RAM heatsinks? There's a pic floating around that shows the TY-140 over them, but it's more than a cm taller than the heatsink itself. OTOH, some of those Tt cases have plenty of room between the mb and the left side panel (it's behind the mb tray where they tend to lack cable room).

A D14 will definitely fit, though.

If you notice in the pic below, the "front" fan is jacked up because it doesnt clear the ripjaws. He also said his case wouldnt close due to the added height from raising the fan. (Silver Arrow)
