Those are Trident heatspreaders as opposed to the OP's Ripjaws?
(although not sure of the height differences between them hehe)

The other poster is saying the d-14 will work but I personally don't have any experience with that combo. The pictures I posted do not look promising though. There are a ton of other options out there that will cool that chip just fine (and for a lower price tag) The D-14 and Silverarrow ARE considered the best though, so if your wanting it for enthusiast reasons theres not much I can say.

I've heard people rave over the h50 and h70, not only do they cool pretty well, they also get the huge and heavy chunk of metal off your mobo. If your wanting to stick with air cooling, many of the big air coolers can block off the first ram slots.

Hyper 212 Plus is a great cooler for the price.

I'm also a BIG fan of the Frio.

lol I think your right, guys post said they were ripjaws though. Shouldn't be a huge difference though. (I assume)

NH-D14 is fine with ripjaws, Its on their compatibility list The picture Roll Cam Tide posted looks to be with Dominator ram and they extremely tall Heatspreaders.

Edit:

Also i would not recommend the silver arrow after watching

review. Skip to about the 15 min mark to see why.

That's one of my 120mm fans. It looks to be a Gentle Typhoon. I have it clipped to the front fin stack with a pair of Megahalems clips. Much quicker on and off when you're testing a bunch of fans.
