Looks like the original fan would be hitting the ram? or is the 2nd fan just bigger

The original fan is the same size: 120mm. It actually rides higher normally. But with its clips it can ride a lot higher, like this:

Ahhh ok that makes sense. The pic looked like if the second fan were in place of the first one it would be all up in the ram lol

Edit:

Also i would not recommend the silver arrow after watching THIS review. Skip to about the 15 min mark to see why.
This review is dumb. I use the silver Arrow and dissagree with every negitive point he brought up. The bracket is fine, install was easyer than hyper 212+.
Not sure aobut you intel guys, but Silver Arrow keeps my core temp at or below 43c at 4.0Ghz.

What matters between the two coolers is personal prefrence, I chose silver arrow becouse I can fit 120x38mm fan on it, D-14 cannot do this. D-14 also has less fitment issue's over silver arrow, Silver Arrow fans are a non standerd size at 140x160x25mm, witch is stupid, I personaly cant stand non standerd size fans(120mm/140mm). So for me it was to get Silver Arrow and drop the dumb sized fans. hope this helps...agin ignore that trolling review of silver arrow, he's being a panzi in that review imo.Hope this helps.

Chunky_Chimp did ban it from one thread.

Other people have had that cooler up above 4.5GHz on a 45nm cpu.
