Couple questions about ASUS ATI Card warranty

Hey guys. I bought an iBuyPower rig last year and it came with an ASUS CuCore 5770. Since I bought my PC and the card was already in there (no original box or accessories) does it still have warranty with ASUS? If so, where can I find the serial number and stuff like that (is it usually on the card itself)?

How is ASUS's RMA process? If something goes wrong with your card, do you ship the card to them and do they send you a new one? How is their customer support?

Asus goes by the serial number on the gpu. Their rma is okay but their tech is very lacking though. I always just do a advanced rma to remove the middle person.

What is the difference between advanced RMA and regular RMA?

advanced would mean they send u one ahead of time so you dont experience any downtime while the card is being shipped to them and checked out

Plus you have to give them a credit card number. So if you don't return it you will get charged. You have 14 days to return the defective product once you receive the replacement part.

Your warranty information.

What happens if they receive the defective one and they find no problems with it?

Then why rma it if nothing is wrong with it? j/p

When you fill out the rma form they will ask what the issue is you are having. So they can pinpoint the problem to run the test on the card. Also on some asus products you can't do a advanced rma on.

I'm only curious. I remember in Europe ASUS had the absolute worst RMA process and customer service, but apparently they are good in the US.

I've had some issues with the US one also. But all manufactures rma/tech support have their good and bad points.

As long as they're not refurb card, you should have full 3 years warranty for Asus.
