Huzzah! Can't wait to see what the controller turns out to be. Hopefully it has both of the rumors analog sticks.

You can't really compare a multiplatform game between PS3 and 360.. you have to compare exclusives for real results, say Halo Reach vs. Uncharted 2.

Halo has **** graphics not even fair.(both suck) However in the interest of fairness Gears of War 2 in comparison to killzone 2 would be better test. I cant tell the difference in both machines cause both look like junk compared to games on my PC.

Also, why do people just stop wasting money on consoles and build themselves a killer PC, if they want the best graphics?...

It's just not as simple as building a PC. People who want the highest performance possible have to consistently upgrade their rig, while someone who buys an Xbox who has never had a killer PC doesn't really have anything to compare to in terms of graphics, so they don't know necessarily what they're missing out on. Someone who bought a 360 at launch paid $399, (yes, I know about the Core for $299) and if they're lucky, it's still running strong today. Someone building a very powerful computer nowadays is easily going to spend $399 on their PC, and that's maybe just a GPU, let alone the rest of the components they need to buy for their rig. I worked at Gamestop for almost three years, and close to 80% of the people who came into my store could barely operate an Xbox, so I couldn't even imagine them attempting to build a PC. I know of course they could've bought a pre-built one, but they simply just don't care about using it for gaming. The thought of being able to hook up their new Xbox 360 to their big 55" HDTV by just plugging in a few cables was pretty easy for these people, so they could really care less. On top of this, you can have multiple people playing on the same system with pretty little effort, so it's all just icing on the console cake.

You are so right, your average consumer is stupid and just likes to keep things simple. When it comes to a PC, you have to look at min specs and recommended specs, compatibility, gfx options, ect ect...with a console its just usually <Insert disk, play>. And this is the audience that consoles are marketed to, people who don't want the most cutting edge performance but the ease of use. But its a trade off for them tht they are not even aware about. I showed my best friend some PC games maxed out that are multi platform with the 360 (his console of choice) and he couldnt believe it. Things like Oblivion maxed with texture mods blew him away and my fave quote from him was "How come when I get close things dont get blurry?"
