Corsair 650d HDD rack

Hey all,

I've encountered a slight issue with my rig, I want to change out the front intake fan, to a CM MegaFlow, but that only leaves me with room for 3 HDDs, and that isnt enough.
So I was wondering if this rack from Lian Li would fit properly in my case, lining up with the front panel and all?

http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product...=5&ss_index=12

I think it should look decent, if I get rid of the logo on the front.

Thanks

Djac.

Maby with a bit of modding it will fit hard to tell, but I hope they dont supply those IDE hard-drives lol

I would go for it

i tried this in the 650d and it did not fit. I am sure if i took a dremel to the front panel i could have made it work, but i wasnt willing to do that.

I used a completely internal hdd cage like this and then made a mesh cover for it.

I am happy with it:

How'd you go about making that front mesh? I'm totally new to modding and would really hate to ruin such gorgeous case

the removable mesh that covers the bottom 200mm intake fan is the exact width as the 5.25 bay. It is the exact same part used on the 600t. I contacted corsair and got an extra and cut it down to size with a dremel. It actually comes apart into mesh, a plastic frame and a sheet of screen. It was easy to mark with tape and cut.

You could also get some modder's mesh and make your own piece, or try something like this. It looks promising, but i dont know if it would work or not.

I think I'm gonna gamble abit, and try the rack I wanted, I figure I can always adjust it and drill some new holes to line it up if needed, thanks for your advice

Uh, don't switch that fan to the megaflow. That thing barely pushes any air. I already bought one to replace the stock 200mm but it performed much worse. RMAed instantly. Save yourself the trouble and just keep the stock fan. There really isn't any viable alternative out there for a "better" 200mm fan.
