Stuck or dead pixel need help fixing

Thread Starter
Well i've got one on my sig rig monitor, and it's red so i'm guessing it's stuck, not dead. I've tried applying pressure all around and taping the screen lightly but to no avail. Currently running a pixel fixer i found online that flashes lights insanely fast in a small square that i had to drag over my stuck pixel and will run that throughout the night, but is there a surefire way that someone knows to fix a stuck/dead pixel?

If it persists after a restart then it's either video card or monitor. Tapping the monitor and/or applying pressure won't help matters any.

If you have another video card, try that one (even if it's old and crappy, just as long as it works). If it's still there with the other card, it's the monitor. If it's gone it's the video card that needs replaced.

As for fixing a dead pixel, the only fix I know of is RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization ).
