both are 80+ Gold. They are kind of pricey though, the similerly priced seasonics with fans are near dead quiet. I'm not sure if mine has actually ever turned on.
No, you won't want those.

Fanless PSU still require force airflow and the OP's build does not have enough.

Thanks for the help
It probably depends on the UPS..... simulated sinewave or actual sinewave?

Fixed. It isn't just fanless PSUs. This pops up every time someone gets it in their head to do a "complete passive silent system."

regal, what case do you have? That might help our suggestions, not that it matters if you already ordered.

Thanks for the advice here, I just installed the SeaSonic S12II 520W, although it has a fan it is practically silent at idle. Now my loudest component is my single case fan the 500 rpm 120mm scythe which I can live with.

I think the Seasonic S12II series makes a lot more sense than thier more expensive passive cooled series for all but the most extreme silence requirements.

My old trusty 2005 Fortron will go on the shelf as a backup, I had no idea of the Seasonic brand and appreciate those pointing me in that direction.

I agree with everyone recommending Seasonic X-series, my 750w only spins its' fan when under heavy load

Ran IBT & MSI Kombustor GPU Burn at the same time, +12 never dropped below 12.2V's. With my old power supply it would dip to 11.7V's.

These Seasonics are fantastic.

I been running the fanless seasonic ss-460fl for 3 months now and theres no heat issue at all. When running games and my video card is at full load the psu is still cool when I touch it.
