now why the hell would you do such a thing like that. Stock 570 beats 6970, so I don't even need to go into where it goes overclocked. It goes to 580 levels. nuff said.

GTX 560/HD6950 is like 15% slower than GTX 570 yet the GTX 570 is 25% more expensive. Not worth it imo if you wanna save money.

Sounds like Stock performance. If you want stock performance, go to overstock.net.

In this place, we OC 570s.

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/A..._Direct_Cu_II/
http://www.geeks3d.com/20110217/asus...-overclocking/

haters gon bring up the powerphase (lack there of) issue. Haters forget the Asus has 6+2
haters also gon forget the Asus DirectCUII is EXTREMELY quiet. Why you gotta hate, haters?

Those look like good OC's to me. Nope do not see a reason to get a crappy 560 or a 6950.

Except he's not buying the Asus...

Who said I'm hating ? I'm talking stock vs stock, sure you can OC both but the difference is still going to be 15% if not less depending how well the GTX 570 OCes.

Bottom line is if a game won't run properly on a GTX 560 you can be sure it won't do so on a GTX 570 either so why spend the extra $$$ ? It's not like there's a 30% difference between them.

The phantom has the same Vrm setup and better fans. It is the best 570 on the market.

There's something shady with Hardware heaven, there always was. Once was comparing a 6970 cfx to a 580 sli. 6970 was winning. Look at system specs, massive CPU bottleneck since it was stock. Not a trustworthy review source, IMO

And don't go by that logic really, the gap closes the closer you go up between them, but performance really counts and the gainward can clock to and above a stock 580, which crushes a stock 560, unless it's a hawk edition, which even still. By that logic I should just pick up a gt550, which really isn't that different from a 460, which isn't that different from a 470, which isn't that different from a 480... No.

And I wasn't aiming those haters gon hate comment at you, otherwise I would've specified who. Just general public

570 is the far superior option, the VRAM limits you on 1gb, I would know I have 1gb cards.

nvidia fanboy much?
Where I live, the GTX 570 is 40% more expensive than the HD6950.
The HD6950 will get (almost) the same performance overclocked as the GTX 570.
I think the (way) better price/performance ratio wins here.
