For this price in US dollars (2000?) I would want a i7 2600 (k or not k) and a 6950 (atleast), though a 570 would be great. As well as faster ram. Like PQI Turbo 8gb or G.Skill RipJaws-X 8gb 1600. As well as the 2tb version of the western digital black caviar. You might also want to change the case, though it's not bad, try a HAF 932.

I personally believe that you don't need a gaming keyboard or an expensive mousepad (but expensive gaming mice are... fine). A Razer Goliathus would suit your needs perfectly and I can personally recommend it (in the standard size not oversized), and it would be cheaper than that, while really any old keyboard would do though aesthetically I can understand.

Also are you sure you can't get a dvd-reader off one of your old computers? They're not that necessary with digital distribution, and I don't believe that you will use it past your first and other re/installations of windows, so swapping one between several computers wouldn't be the hassle you might imagine it would be.

Also I remember reading that making a 200gb (or a small partition anyways) partition on your harddrive will make it faster (Not sure if that's true though), and if that's right remember to do that.

Even factoring in your monitor I am building a computer for a similar pricepoint that is overall better than yours, or the original revision of yours and still I would say better than the 2nd revision on the front page. I apologise and am going to trawl through the thread to find your next revision/s.

EDIT:

Looking much better! In fact that's pretty much everything I was unhappy with. Except possibly the mousepad and keyboard. You will be happy with that computer my friend for a long time.
