U2311h vs FS2331

Thread Starter
Hello, I'm looking for a monitor for movies and gaming.

I can get Eizo FS2331 and U2311h for the same price.

Which should I go for?

Or is there any other monitor out there with maybe 24" instead I should rather go for?

The Dell U2311H is a great monitor, I'd grab the Dell.

Don't know why the heck you'd get the dell over the Eizo...
higher contrast, much better gamma control, 8 bit instead of dells 6 bit...need i go on?

Thank you for quick answers.

Okay, three people telling me to buy U2311h and one with a better argument telling me to buy Eizo.

It kinda made the choice difficult..

Does anyone have more arguments, or have actual experience with those two monitors except from the numbers in the specifications?

Is people telling me to go for the IPS just cause they've heard they're so good or do you KNOW that Eizo VA panel is not as good? I've heard they in addition to what kyle mentioned also has better response time.

IPS monitors are the best you can get, the rest of that stuff is negligible if you are comparing a TN monitor to an IPS. And honestly, what difference is a few milliseconds going to make when you have a monitor that can reproduce colours perfectly at any angle?

Eizo FS2331 is not a TN monitor but a VA monitor

Another vote for the u2311h. Just picked one up last week. It should be here on April 27th.

Interesting... never even heard of VA monitors. From my googling IPS monitors are still better though
