Which is better for intense gaming... ??

Thread Starter
Hi Guys,

Just wanted to clear out a confusion between 2 combos of processor - mobo....

1) Intel i7 2600k with the Asus Maximus IV Extreme

2) Intel i7 970 with the Asus Rampage III Extreme

Both are on the top of their categories of chipsets but my confusion lies which one will clearly be the best for HARDCORE GAMING ONLY..... !!!!!!!

Thanks Guys,
Dev.........

Why do you need so much power? Unless you are going for a future proof build?

I have both systems and really cant tell any diff. for gaming. Save your money and get the 2600k, or even better a 2500k if gaming is your main goal.
