Highest gtx 460 MSI Cyclone 1gb overclocks? - Page 2

Yes they attach using the included thermal adhesive tape/pads. No heatsinks are not generally just for show lol, what you may be thinking of is the fact that memory does not usually get hot enough to require heatsinks of any sort even when slightly overclocked. VRMs on the other hand can always use a heatsink, even at stock power levels for your 460 but especially with the voltage you are pushing. I really like these ones because they are pure copper instead of aluminum so they will transfer heat more effectively. Good luck and have fun with them, be sure to post again if you are not sure where they need to be applied but it's fairly obvious. Like I said if you do decide to do a BIOS flash to get more voltage your VRMs should be at a better temperature even at a higher voltage of 1.1v with these sinks on then they are currently at 1.087v without them

even my low vid one will error out in OCCT or anything over like 880-885 @ 1.087v. My 24/7 clocks are 850 because i dont need 1.087 for it.

I think alot of people are running unstable cards and just think because furmark "looks okay" its stable.
