Looking to put a nice window on my Antec 300, and i measured the side panel and its 17 X 17, and i definitly do not want the entire side to be a window, but will this work if i cut it down:

I hope so.

Yeah, used a sheet from Lowes that worked fine for a friend... however, check each sheet throughly when buying it, any have scuffs, cracks and other imperfections that can make the final product look shoddy.

Also, get some U-Channel molding like the stuff here: Link
[It's used to cover the cut metal edge so it appears cleaner and uniform in case your hand slips slightly with your cutting tool

No, Home Depot doesn't sell the u-channel you need (I run the Hardware Department at one). I searched every hardware store and speciality place where I live and couldn't find any. I ended up buying the u-channel from McMaster-Carr. Just search for 8510K11 on www.mcmaster.com.

mnpctech.com has a good tutorial on adding a window to your computer case: http://forum.coolermaster.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13988
