Copper Coil Radiator

So I am making a copper coil radiator and was debating on whether to take and weave some copper metal around the coil to make a mesh screen like effect to act some what as fins. Would this work the way I'm expecting it to? Anyone have experience with making this kind of radiator any ideas?

These tend to do poorly for water cooling..... the central channel is too large. PC watercooling has low temperature differentials.

if you are soldering it on, it might work ok, but round tube has less contact area with the water than a flat channel, and if it's the bendable tubing, the walls are pretty thick making the cooling efficiency of it pretty low, sure you'll have a large thermal mass, but it won't cool your components well, it will act like a heatsink(the definition: to sink heat(absorb heat)) it won't dissipate it into the air very well

So curiosity then makes me ask if i ran a regular radiator and copper tubing instead of vinyl, plastic or rubber would the copper improve the system performance?

Thats depends. If the copper tubing is in contact with warm air inside a case, it can increase or add more heat to the system. Metal components should only be in contact with heated components needing cooling and the the cooling area (radiator) IMO.

Yes they do resist heat more than copper. Copper is very conductive of heat, its only beat by silver, diamond and graphene. Thats why its a very good material for heatsinks.

You would need a large amount of fins for it to even be worth while. I think you would save money and get better results with a large radiator. This is assuming your not burying it or anything like that.
