G.Skill vs PATRIOT

Thread Starter
I'm about to buy a comp and I've got last pieces of the puzzle to figure out.

I'm getting a 2x4GB DDR3 1600 of either patriot or g.skill
which one is better?
Basically the same. I like both companies. Are the specs the same? If so, just get whichever looks better with your system.

Well... they both have lifetime warranties
They're not really diffrent
Get whatever's best for price

I had some Patriots, don't expect them to overclock, or to be fully stable at the listed specs. Get G.Skill, they are more well known and have excellent customer service.

I've seen quite a few deals on G.Skill RAM lately, so go with them.

I'd have recommended patriot as I have the 6gb viper kit but reading this made me realise that yeah, they don't run at the stated timings very well at all. No experience with gskill but I'd probably go for them.

Saying that though, I'm fussy so if a patriot kit looked better I'd still buy it even if it didn't run as fast lol.
