Do I really need 6 fans in my HAF912

Hey overclocks

I wanted to know your experience with case fan cooling. Currently I have 2 fans in my HAF 912, but can go all the way to 6 fans and was thinking of buying 6 Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E. But do I absolutely need them, should I stick with my 2 original fans? Am I going to see my CPU temps go down and how much?

thanks

OOh defo change them the fans that come with the case arnt very good defo swap them! you should notice a diffrence in temps may be only like 5oc but tht still better

I would put in 6 fans too but you don't have to you can stick with the stock and fill any empty slots with s flexes. The 200mm are normally not very good.

Swap'em! Out with the stock fans and fill up those empty spaces.
You can never have enough fans.

I would, all your PC parts would love the cool air from it. And of course, 6 Scythe fans can be very silent, all you'll hear is a silent whirr throughout the whole time its running. Your i7 will thank you too.

Yuck! S-Flexes. Check out items 1 and 4 in my sig for fan testing.

But even crap 200mm fans are quieter and push more air than 120mm fans. Check out my profile for the airflow I prefer.

ok thanks, reading your posts. What exactly you didn't like about the Sflex? not enough air flow?

You know, I suggest you try to get your hands on some Scythe Gentle Typhoon ap-14's. They're good performers for there RPM and quiet beyond believe.

And if you don't find any, plant a post and we can suggest you some other fans.
