Deathadder 1800DPI Paint Candy/Pearl/Flake And LED MOD!

First of all this is my very first "mod" what i post in here

Reason why i do this is.. that I cant afford modding my case SG-03 right now.. And its little bit weared

Razer Deathadder

Things to do:

- Disassemble
- Sanding
- Cleaning up
- Primer coat
- Paint coat
- Clear coat matte or glossy (haven't decided yet)
- Give it some heat to speed up drying/curing
- Changing blue leds into red ones
- assembling
- And hopefully it still works

Color scheme is Red, White, Black
Pearl white and candy red with flakes

And btw if anyone have spare deathadder 1800dpi im interested to buy it or you can always donate it to me

I may need to order this pearl paint... If i cant find something like that from our local shop

So White base-coat and red pearl top coat for white parts.

Sure thing! If i just remember after 1 year .. I may use ceramic clear... But its quite expensive stuff... but 100grams of that clear should be more than enough for this mouse ..

Today i will "try" my soldering skills.. Bought leds and smaller solder iron tip and some soldering tin... Aaand Solder Sucker .. Well see if Deathadder works after this

I will post pics after im done for today ..

Any comments/support will motivate me to do this..

Led is installed .. (brighter led would have been better tough...)

Poor little leds from local shop.



Starting to De-solder (if thats right word to describe it...)

New led in place...

Im quite surprised that i really did that

And now i go test flake paint.. Never have done that too..

Where and what leds did you order? I've been contemplating about modding my 3.5g version to match my mobo. Your soldering is a hell lot better than mines.
