Is newest integrated video good enough for light graphic design?

Thread Starter
My girlfriend needs a new laptop as her 5 year old dell's charger and battery are useless. Rather than buying her a new battery and charger like she wants, I was thinking about getting her a whole new laptop. She mainly needs it for her trip to italy for everyday stuff but she might use it for school too if she can. She's in a bachelors program for graphic design and uses cs4 and cs5 often (indesign and imageready mostly).

Would the newest GMA HD or HD4250 on the i3/phenom II laptops be ok for this occasionally?

I'm trying get the cheapest usable laptop possible with the most portability, that's why I'm looking at integrated instead of discrete first ($$ & Battery consumption).

Thanks.

I used to do a lot of Photoshop on my old iBook G4 with 32mb video card (Photoshop V11) - newer integrated GPUs should get you buy, although they do have switchable graphics solutions that help to save battery life, although they are a little more expensive.

Everything might not render instantly, but she should be able to get by just fine
