Flip the page again to BFBC2 where the 570s again beat the 6990.

Anyways, Heavy is on my ignore list since all he does is quote other people and has never had an original thought to add of his own.

Also its not OCN, its more like Balla vs AMD fanboys round 20.

Who ever mentioned the GTX 570? We were talking about the 6990 and the 590. But if you want to mention it, fine. Radeon HD 6950 2GB CF equals GTX 570 SLI at 2560x1600 and costs $100 less. Why didn't you mention that? And where did you get a GTX 470 for $170?

AMD is the greatest, fastest, most powerful, cheapest, and most saint like company ever. Anything but AMD is wrong, there is no other option because they all cost too much more and don't provide any seeable difference with my top of the line 30Hz LCD screen. If anything Intel should pay AMD for showing them how to make a micro processor in the first place.

Nvidia is a horrible company who make cards that use way too much power and produce too much heat. AMD has the better drivers, which is clear since 11.4 was released we saw 30% gains in titles almost a year old. Nobody ever has issues with their drivers and its not like they post about it or AMD has a bad rep from it.

When you combine the two they form the ULTRA force of EPIC WIN. Combined the Radeon and Phenom represent the most powerful no compromise systems at the cheapest price per performance segment you will ever find. Long live AMD, father and creator of the circuit board/ram/cpu/hhd/screen/air/water/fire.

Indeed,unlock the HD6950 2GB and they're even faster.
He must work for Nvidia to be getting a $170 GTX470.

See, it's crap like this that makes you look like a fanboy. Nobody here EVER mentioned AMD being the best company there ever was. Only one I see making outrageous sarcastic statements is you.

I did when it was faster than two 6970 gpus at high res.

The 590 is a bad card.

I've seen the 6950 in action its a good card, 570 reference is not so great. Comparable to the 590 in many respects. I think the price difference is closer to $30-40 now, depending on which card you get. Reference 570s are around $300 with 6850s around the $250... at least last time I checked.

I don't really talk about res'es that I don't game at because I don't really have any experience in those res'es.

I got a new ASUS about 7 months ago for $185, and picked up a used EVGA card used here for $180... Luckily it came with a backplate and a lifetime warranty which made me feel bad about spending $185 on a three year warranty card

I may look like a fanboy because of that post, but you're clearly blind to the other ones if you can't spot the reason for it.

ye
anyway 6990 is cheaper than gtx590 in eu

geforces are perfoming better at lower resolutions,
radeons are losing score with increasing resolutions - slower than geforces.

That´s why they tested it at 1680*1060...
Another benchmarking trick - ah those journalists
