SORRY ABOUT THE MIX UP.
Next time try to read the whole article carefully.

Are you sure ?
Nobody is interested in >150W processors.

example : QX9775 - 150W TDP @ 3,2GHz...

If you divide that number by 4, it would be 5.73 clocked at 1.8ghz. If the 8 cores come out clocked at 3.5ghz then it would essentially double that score to about roughly 10-11. Not counting turbo boost.

No, they will call it FX6200, or some other random number. I posted a news article on it some time ago.

Also can someone describe what the chart is explaining? Is it a 32 core chip? is it 4 chips with 8 cores? 1 chip, 8 cores, 4 threads/core? Im confused :\\

This is right. People need to stop trying to rewrite history with the whole AMD/Intel thing. AMD has always been a budget brand, while Intel has always been about performance. AMD has had some great processors in the past, but not enough to change their role in the industry. They've always been budget. One socket A chip 10 years ago doesn't change things lol.

Maybe they're trying to get the real enthusiasts with this one. Not a crazy thought.

That does seem logical, as long as it truly is running at 1.8 ghz per core. I hope you're right, because that would be awesome.

Phenoms were released in some crappy times for AMD.
I expect good CPU-s this time as engineers had peace of mind while working on them.
The bad management from the 2006-2007 is finally over now so i really expect good performers for nice prices.
Don t forget that AMD is no more what it was at ownership level so the targets for the CPU bussiness may be different .

I remember they(AMD) were like getting destroyed by it's counterpart and getting ready be extinct but it didn't happened. I think that time when they released these Athlon processors, AMD just came back to life.

Not really an AMD guy so please bare with me. One thing I won't forget when I used to work as an RMA engineer for a major motherboard manufacturer back in the mid 90s. I have never killed any Intel processor but AMD - I think I killed every processor that was issued to me. I remember those K5-K6 are prone to that issue. A slightly mis-seated heatsink will kill them instantly.
