I don't believe that benchmark one bit, and I have hopes for Bulldozer. If this benchmark is true and other benchmarks are similar, I think Bulldozer will be grossly overpriced, in which case I'm buying Intel.

BD is rumored to cost about the same as Sandy Bridge (note system price)

A score of 10 or 11 (assuming 3.5GHz clocks) puts it in the same class as the 12 threaded 990x and well ahead of the 8 threads of 2600K. I think we all expected BD to crush Sandy for 8 threads because HT. As for 2/4 threads we will have to see, but I don't think these results are unreasonable.

How do you know that as at first you did not stated.
Why would i belive you this time ?!
Maybe over an hour you will say there were 100 cores

If so then we can assume that one chip will be equal i7 950.

8C/8T = 4C/8T. Not very impressive.

Oh wait, why 1.8 Ghz? Why so low?

Focus on the MATH.
Now take the Core i7 960 as reference which has a base clock of 3,2 GHz and double the score (to simulate 8 cores) and you get 10,96.

Basically means bulldozer is not going to be faster than Intel Bloomsfield which came out 2 years ago; ouch.

Yet another fail... although I really wished AMD would win this one,

Also; other leaks 2 days ago on the same forum showed that the bulldozer flagship is going to clock at 3200 MHz, not more.

Looks like we have a new performance king. Expect it to be priced like one due to simple economics.
But to be fair, the 980x is also 32nm, so we're expecting them to overclock similarly.
Wow,if the theoretical calculations true,Bulldozer will be a breakthrough for AMD.
It takes about 4.8-5.0Ghz with a i7 2600K to score 10.x like the i7 980X,correct? Bulldozer would have better clock performance than SB.

But thats 16 threads, not 8. Thats like saying if you have a car with a gas tank that fills to the top (BD) and a gas tank that has a lower capacity but makes up for it by better fuel economy and doubling it.

1.8Ghz because it's more than likely a server chip or a desktop chip being used in a server, where core are more important than speed.

You do realize that HT helps in Cinebench right? 16 threads (theoretical 960) to 8 threads (BD) is very fair And the slide about BD clock speed released 2 days ago were engineering samples which always have lower clocks then the final product because they are in testing.

It's most likely a server chip.
Consumer desktop BD will of course have higher clocks.

Fail?
Try comparing the BD with a base clock of 3.2 and see what would mathematically win.
The version of Bulldozer tested is more than likely the server version,or just has lower speeds because it is a Engineering sample.
