is it a TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633A

if so then you will need to do a firmware update

Dam drivers do seem to be hard to find for your laptop. been doing some research can u get on to the internet on the laptop?

If so there should be a button, "hotkey" hit tht and windows should detect the webcam and auto install the drivers

there was vista on it but ive installed win7 instead but forgot to check if the webcam actually works "fn+f11"
if there was a "hot key" its gone now.
strange too that windows and everest dont show any webcam either unless its been disconnected if the laptop has been opened before.

Yeah that was it fn+f11,

Forgot to say, did it work on vista?

It could well be its been disconnected or its become defective.

But fairplay drivers for that laptop, I got more chance winning the lotto lol

Do you have any exp in taking laptops apart? if so have a look at the leads and check that they havent become damaged.

while searching for anydrivers ive came across many searching too,its real strange that theres no support for these.
i took it apart last night to clean it and remove dust from the fan and didnt notice anything out of place although i wasnt looking for a problem with the cam then.

ill take it apart again and have a look see as i mentioned before i forgot to check the cam with the original os=damn lol.

anyway thanks for your time.
