Well soon I am getting 600$ and I decided time to try out intel I figured out that i want 8 gigs of ram and a 2600k. But i need help with the motherborde. I have about 200$ for the motherborde and really want to know what the best bang for buck would be. also can you point out a good full tower case that is under 150$ please. My antec makes me mad and i cant decide on what to get. thanks

Cheers

For the motherboard I would probably go with the GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD4-B3... or you could save up a bit more and go with the ASUS Sabertooth, also a great board.

The case will depend on your preference, if you want something a bit more "flashy" you could go with the HAF 932 advanced or NZXT Phantom (plenty of sexy colors to choose from )... on the more classy side you have the Fractal Design Define XL (great build quality, and quiet)

Thanks, I am thinking also if just upgrading those parts would be worth it or upgrading most of my system. I'll put current rig and what I would upgrade

Current rig:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 820 @ 3.01Ghz (from a gateway)
MOtherborde: MSI 880GM-E45 MATX
Ram:Kingston DDR3 1066Mhz
Graphics: Gigabyte GTX460 1gb
case: Antec 900 Mid-tower
PSU: Corsair 650HX nom-modulear
HDD: 2x WD Caviar black 640's not in RAID

Here is what I would have for 1450$ (including tax and shipping) IS this all compatible and worth the cost?

CPU: Intel I7 2600k
Motherborde: GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD4-B3
RAM: G.skill Ripjaws 8GB 1333Mhz
Graphics: SLI GTX 460's
Case: Cooler master HAF 932
PSU: Antec CP-1000w Modulear
HDD: 2x WD Caviar black 640's In RAID 0 with a 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 as Boot drive
CPU cooler: Corsair H70

850 PSU would be enough. also go for little quicker ram.
