Gainward GTX 570, ~220 euros, should I buy it?

Thread Starter
A friend wants to sell his Gainward GTX 570, and my GTX295 is getting old (especially that half of it is broken, so only one PCB is working).

It's this one: http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=469
It aint Phantom or Goes Like Hell editions and I couldnt find any reviews on Google, so can anyone fill me in how good this card is, and how far I can overclock it?
It's pretty cheap actually, 2 months old 570 for the price of brand new 560ti/6950, but I've read that quite a few people have burned their 570s, and I love to overclock.

Any input?

That Gainward is the same as the Palit 570; though the Palit has two different coolers they offer on the base model (one reference cooler and the other with dual fans such as the Gainward).

I've always bought Palit cards and Gainward is one of their subsidiaries. Never had an issue with any of their cards from the 8800GT to my GTX460. If you do get the Gainward 570 check to see if it has vrm heatsinks. I actually added vrm heatsinks to my 460 and I'm now able to clock my card to 900/4200 with no issues (24/7).

Did you check out the gainward 570 phantom as well? I'm planning on getting that one.

Reviews on the phantom:

Seems solid enough 2 me!

Lycka till!

Well, Phantom goes for about 50 euros more than the one I'm planning to buy. Which is about what cheapest 570 cost as new (I'm buying a 2 months used one).
Guess I'll just go for it and hope for the best
