I am DONE with ASUS - Page 2

I feel your pain. I've had two Asus boards (p6t) and they both didn't work on me.

I honestly LOL'd and smiled when you said they can die in a fire and to go f themselves.

I would try Asus again but for now I'm sticking to EVGA since my whole rig is basically that

I hope when I go SB that the ASUS sabertooth works for me

Currently the "advanced rma" is taking longer than a regular RMA, if your suggesting I should have asked for something I had no idea they offered, then sorry. I wasn't aware I should know their policies on what they can or cannot do, most companies do not cross ship. It doesn't state anywhere from where I could see on their site they do advanced RMAs.

My fault really? Its somehow my fault that I have to pay for shipping back on something that wasn't fixed. Stop defending them. If a customer pays for overnight shipping for something thats defective its the companies responsibility to send it back quickly, if I didn't care I would send it ground.

I was eying it and now I am not so sure. I sorta want the eVGA, as a result of this though.

Sigh.

I feel you Limes, RMA problems suck.
Why would you have scotch tape on your GPU

My Maximus 3 had a few defective fan ports and a defective ethernet port, I didn't bother RMAing it until a year later when the HDD controller(Northbridge, Southbridge?) died on me, they sent me what appeared to be a new board over a month later, it had a bent pin.

I went in circles with them trying to get it RMAed, after I told them I wasn't going to pay $150 to repair a DOA board they started ignoring my emails, threatening to go to the BBB got an immediate reply, a prepaid shipping label and an RMA. One of my friends also has an ASUS ROG board, dead PCI-E slot and defective RAM slots(common issue for X58 ASUS boards)

If it wasn't for their sound cards I avoid them like the plague. I was getting over 1000ms ping on that Ethernet port and thought it was an ISP problem the whole time, and their ROG RMA service is a joke, its no faster than the standard service. /rant

I am not one to defend ASUS.. In fact usually say "without you they are an ASS" but..

Did you test your mobo on other stuff? Compatibility is not their problem, they post compatibility lists for a reason. (And yes.. big shock not all PSUs will work with all motherboards...you sig lists a server setup... that brings in a whole new slew of issues).

Just saying it is possible unless you were succienct in your RMA issuance that the problem might not be genrally specific. (lol)

Sorry for the funny speak.. looking at it like they would... tell them exactly what to do and they will be awesome 99.99% of the time in RMA dont let them think.. tell them

dont get me wrong, I have had issues with RMA before... got a corsair SSD back recently that I could not install windows on. Despite 3 differnt version of windows on two differnet formats (USB and DVD/CD) and 3 differnet motherboards spanning 2 different architectures. (AMD and Intel)

However when I installed it it shows up in BIOS I can format it, and copy files to it...

On restart it does not show up in BIOS though and that is why i cant install windows

Corsair is known for this issue though. so no shock there.

I usually swear by Asus motherboards but I have to admit the way this RMA was handled was shameful.
