Default Two days later...

I ordered the E6600 Tuesday, May 29 @ 12:00p.m. I had it shipped Fedex ground, hoping that it would ship out that same day, and that I would get it before the weekend (wishful thinking). Well, the CPU wasn't shipped until Thursday, which shot down all of my hopes of putting my system together this weekend. I know I could have paid for overnight, but I've already spent my resources to put together this 'dream' system. I was just wondering why it took until Thursday for it to ship?

I will say that I'm very excited about getting my L629F to go with my Abit Quad GT, 2GB Patriot (4-4-4-12), Saphire ATI X1950xt 256MB, Seasonic S12-380 (I hope it's enough), Pioneer DVR-212DBK, Seagate ES 320GB and Thermalright coolers for the CPU (ULTRA-120 EXTREME) and the video card (HR-03 Rev A); also two 120mm SilenX fans. I even bought one of the cheap Lian-Li cases (A05B BK). This will be by far my best build ever! I've been custom building PC's since '96 (Even owned a computer store for 2.5 years until overhead got to be too much.) I still build systems often, but finally I get to build 'me' a killer system.

Thanks 'Tank Guys' for listing and having sweet week/stepping's!!! It's well worth the wait.

Well, generally speaking, orders ship next day. There are, however, exceptions.

1 - If the item(s) you order are drop shipped by our suppliers, they may ship same day, or they may take a couple extra days. Thier shipping time is out of our control, so it can really vary.

2 - FedEx throws us a curveball sometimes. Without looking at your specific order, my guess is that this is what likely happened in your case. For better or worse, they have two divisions: Ground and Express. For some odd reason, FedEx doesn't always send a truck from the division we requested (why this happens, I have no idea...). In any case, what happens is this: Say an express truck picks up your ground package. They will bring it to the local express hub, where it will be loaded onto another truck and taken to the ground hub. It's not actually scanned/tracked until it enters the ground system - in this case, when it's dropped off at the ground hub. Often, this happens on the same day, but sometimes it doesn't. So in your case, the package was more than likely "shipped" by us and picked up by FedEx next day, as usual, but didn't enter the ground system until the following morning.

That's an annoying rub I've been trying to resolve. Fortunately, it never happens with express packages, but it does still occasionally crop up with ground/home delivery shipments.

I think the latter happened with my E6750:

The REALLY annoying thing is when we actually do schedule both Express and Ground pickups - and then whichever driver arrives first *still* picks up all the packages, and then tells us we should have called for both
