Default The Amazing Zombie RAM
Just about to RMA my Team Xtreem DDR2 667 2x1GB kit (I mean I had the form filled out and everything). Started reading a post on Xtreme Systems about a Team owner that had tried reinstalling this same RAM 6 different times and on the 7th it miraculously came back to life:

Sure enough, since I had only tried 4 times in 3 weeks times without a post, I tried and it worked.

BEWARE...THE ZOMBIE RAM MAY NOT BE AS DEAD AS YOU THINK IT IS!!!

They gave me a C1 error (memory) on my abit mobo. It would not even go to post with one of the sticks. The other was fine. Both together wouldn't post. The offending stick would prevent posting regardless of configuration or slot. I haven't let them sleep yet. The first two times this happened, I pulled the sticks and battery and let the mobo reset a few minutes. The third time, multiple restart attempts failed as noted above.
All three times this started, it was initiated by me lowering timings (as if they're not low enough already) in some way that the Team didn't appreciate. I think it's time to admit...I've hit rock bottom.

I get a similar glitch from my Team Xtreme...upon restart if I have the RAM OCed I get a total failure to POST...once I get the BIOS to defaults it POSTs...weird
