Got the spare cheap processor to test. Same things happens as before so I will be RMA'ing the motherboard. Just thought I'd post the update.

Got my board (same serial number) back from Asus. It took 2 weeks exactly from me shipping it to repair and return to me. Not bad. Board (P5K Deluxe) came back with the 202 bios I was upgrading from... Flashed 0501 again with EZ Flash2. Reset per the manual, and away it went...

Running 3.41Ghz @ a cool 43c. I like. My Pioneer DVR-212d turned out to be a lemon though. Eats blank dvds. Literally. Grinds about a 1/4" around the outer edge... RMA'd this drive. Still have a Liteon until I get the Pioneer replaced.
