Thumbs up E8400/E8500/Q9550 OC Results - Coming Soon!
Just got off the phone with one of my contacts, and looks like I have these chips headed my way for pre-sales testing.

All three will be pre-production engineering samples, so they won't be 100% indicative of retail results - but will be interesting nonetheless. Hopefully I have the chips in hand by the end of the week, and can work on it this weekend. I'll keep this thread updated with new info as I get it.

sorry for asking such a lame questions. but after ur done with these chips do u get to keep these chips or u have to return them back. ?

With Intel, we usually get to keep them. With other companies, it's hit or miss.

i only care about the Q9550 since thats gonna be my next chip so hopefully i am impressed because i dont feel like having to spend $1000 on a 9650

I agree on the Q9450... but it looks the same as Q9550, just with a multi of 8 instead of 8.5. For a reported $200 difference, I'll take the Q9450!

Looking forward to those benches; preemptive REP+
