Default Aeneon Memory - Thoughts?

One of my suppliers has approached us about selling this - it's gotten some good reviews. It's not Micron chip based, it's Qimonda chips. Curious who has heard of them, or had experiences with it.

I'd ask them for a sample of 2 kits....One middle-of-the-road 2GB kit and a high-end 4GB kit, and see how they perform. When you get up to speeds over DDR2-1000, speeds really start showing and I would be surprised to find how they perform over that.

Even if they are good.... the marketing on them isn't that good since we never heard of them. See what they can do and then compare the pricing versus Microns.

I used Aeneon chips in my first S775 build back in '06. They're good chips that overclock fairly well (from 533-725 MHz easy) without much heat being generated.

Not a big name, but certainly a nice DIMM for the price.
