Default FX-55 vs FX-53

I was looking at your AMD FX series prices and I noticed that the FX-53 was ~$90. I also noticed that the FX-55 was ~$900. Why is this? What is the big difference between the processors that results in the price jump?

All the FX chips were equivalent to extreme editions.

Nothing. Other than the fact it's the fastest 130nm chip you can get (which means it's pretty slow nowadays).

I'm guessing the FX-53 were bought in later at a cheaper trade price while the FX-55 were bought when they were still fresh on the market and had a much higher trade price

Those prices are just ancient. Admittedly, we're not always good about adjusting prices on old/low demand items. A very, very, very small portion of our products account for the overwhelming majority of sales - so those are the ones that are concentrated on. Other items never sell at all, and aren't worth worrying about

Both thumbs up for TankGuys, for having true pearls among their old/low demand items.
Last year I bought there, the worldwide last available kit of Teamgroup's Team Xtreem DDR600 PC4800 memory. While no one else in Asia, Europe or anywhere else, had Team Xtreem DDR600 anymore, TankGuys still kept a 1GB treasure, showing me therewith that nothing is impossible and branding therewith tankguys.biz forever into my own memory.

But if it's you Ben, you've never answered me about the oversea shipping conditions.

I remember when the FX-55 was the fastest processor on the market.

And like has been said, the FX processors were simalar to intel's EE processors.

Just wondering: Do you actually still have any FX procs left?
