True... this is one reason why server parts are so expensive. Intel and companies guarantee the specific parts are available for like 10 years.

__________________Well we're going to try Sun xVM Virtual Box to *try* to emulate DOS (The program was originally meant for DOS, but is capable of running on Win98/95 since it is "pure DOS").

just look on craigs list i see old computer all the time on there they might not work but that dosnt mean that all the hardware in that computer is dead and most people will just give it to you so they dont have to trash. worth a try.

I agree with those who have said that virtualization/emulation is likely the best route.
__________________I had Windows 98 running just fine on an NF7-S 2.0 with 1.5GiB of memory. No issues after the vcache tweak in the win.in file. A lot of people would be surprised at what you can get to run well on Win98. Any single core CPU, video cards up to the G80 line, 2GiB of ram (vcache tweak), 2TB+ harddrives (there is a 48-bit LBA patch), and so on.
