By looking at your threads, I am going to guess that the chip was fine when you received it but may have died while overclocking - which is not covered in warranty. Particularly this thread.

Send Tank Guys an email. They will respond. Keep in mind that it is 5:45PM for them (after business hours) so expect a response Monday. Please don't go complaining on the forum that they take a long time to reply....

I did not overclock this chip. I took it out of box, put it in, it didnt work.

The chip i had in the last thread if you will look at it correctly states that that chip is not E0 stepping. To my knowledge tankguys only offers "e0 stepping"

That chip was from newegg and I returned it for a replacement because i couldnt get good clocks out of it. I bought a Q9650 "E0" from tankguys because i heard they overclocked well.

I don't like being accused of doing something I didn't do and I want a refund for a product I received that was faulty.

So how do I RMA it.

I sent them an 'email' using that little form, but I figured that it would have a link to a form from the main page telling about RMA's.. Newegg has one.. so why doesn't tankguys have anything at all concerning RMA's on their website that I have found.

Uh, http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...ghz-q9650.html

You've stated right there that you were overclocking.

I'm sorry, but I do not think that a chip that doesn't overclock well or doesn't overclock to how you want is considered faulty.

I had my VCore at 1.3V and FSB at 387 and the Multi is 9x and my system wouldn't boot.. I haven't been able to get the chip to 3.5GHz yet..
There's no reason to lie and try to say that you didn't overclock.

Excuse me? There's no reason to be rude.

All we've stated was going by your previous posts.

Tankguys isn't as large of a retailer as NewEgg.

Just wait for them to reply. They're reputable.

Read the rules next time and don't be rude to people.
