Instead of taking two images and combining them into one with each image highlighted in red and blue-or cyan and magenta, or any other color used for anaglyph images-the two images are animated and "wiggle" back and forth, which creates the illusion of depth.

I don't see this catching on for still images somehow. Wonder how it might work on maybe a 120hz signal (display an image from each "eye" in alternating frames) or maybe even the 240hz (same thing, except 2x as fast might be needed to get rid of it looking like its vibrating.

What do you guys think?

if i ever get anything 3d it would have to be glasses-less, I hate having to wear glasses, that and I havent really seen any 3d that makes me go WOW I NEED THIS! Cause most of the time when watching a movie or something your brain says "ok this is how it would be if it was 3d this object should be in front of this object" and so on so Im used to 2d but realizing that it was filmed in a 3d world. When I watch 3d movies all i think is "god these glasses are annoying, and I had to pay way to much for this movie" and I dont even notice the 3d effect after a while. And you always have that weird ness in the beginnign when whenever something moves thats not like in the center of the screen it seems sorta blurry or something....

Overall 3d maybe interesting, but I would never pay a penny more for it, if its included eh cool w.e, if not who cares.

Good for you....keep experiencing your 3d games in plain old 2d while the rest of the world finally moves to real 3d vision

I like the picture...it is a strange effect but not really 3d in the way 3d vision does it where you can REALLY see 3d and judge depth, that image creates a strange pseudo 3d effect that I like though.

The problem I see with this method is that it "wiggles" around the point on the screen it assumes you're looking at. If you look at only an object near the edge of the image, there is nothing 3D looking about it. But I agree, it is still cool looking.

I wear glasses all day every day, they are frustrating enough, but to add glasses on top of them just doesn't work. Even those goggle like sun glasses or the flip things, no thanks, way too annoying for me. 3d would have to be glass-less for me to ever use it.

So Cameron's movie, Avatar, was no big deal to you then.
Bummer, it was an epic 3D film.

Get contacts or laser surgery, both are cheaper than glasses, and more convenient.

Laser ok, but I don't have the money, and I fear of the chance of losing my sight from them doing something wrong, I'd rather be weak eye sighted then blind. Contacts suck, I hated them, always drying up constantly and being uncomfortable(one eye astigmatism, other lazy eye), they didn't last long with me.

It looks far, far worse at 60 FPS. Insane flicker.

Maybe I'll make a 60Hz video like this based on the sample videos on http://3dtv.at/Index_en.aspx
If you could do something with 60fps, that'd be awesome. I'd love to see the comparison.

I think 3dis great, when done right. Avatar did it insanely well, made you feel like you were in the movie, unlike the gimmicks with things flying out of the screen at you, to show they could do that.
