The card is listed for 7.276,00 kr (€900, $1300). This is the European price with a high tax rate. So it seems that the rumors were true, and the card is already being prepared for sale. The product website has already been taken down. First units should arrive on February 18th. Stay tuned for more leaks!

Well, €900 on release it's possible. However I can imagine that in the US it would go for less $1300, it is never an exact conversion. And the European price is inflated by high taxes.

The interesting bit of info from the source, is that the cards should start appearing around the 18th.

Lot of cash for a card. I cannot see it being more than 40% faster than a 7970/680. The price is either insane or the performance, I think it is the price.

Yeah probably looking at $1000-$1200 range for the US, which after state taxes it still rises a bit, but not too bad.

I'm curious as to how they are pointing at a Feb 18th release (11 days away) and there hasn't been much in the way of official or even proper information about the card. Doesn't seem too likely to me that we'll be seeing it that early but could happen I suppose, not everything gets info or PR months before, would imagine it would be a good idea to upsell the product before release though especially with that price tag.

I will not pay anything over 750 for a video card. Ever.

With ATi's rumored 8970 going to have 2560 Shaders and 288Gbps memory bandwidth i can see the Titan being nothing more than a price gouge until ATi comes with the 8970.

And why is everyone so excited about 2560 shaders? That's only a 25% increase from the 7970. 680 > Titan is a 75% increase in cuda cores.

Except, you know, this is a single GPU and so far most numbers/predictions are putting it above a GTX690. This is not from a single crazy source but quite a few sources.

The very fact that it's a single GPU immediately makes it a better option than SLI/Xfire.

All depends on how high its clocked. I still believe it'll be 22% faster then a 690 if its clocked at 850. It has to be. If its not nvidia seriously gimped it with drivers

That quantity of shaders puts ATi roughly around the same amount as the Titan. Also the Rumored memory bandwidth i've seen for the titan is 297Gbps. So very close spec wise. I think its up to ATi to come with some good drivers for it.

You seem to forget that amd needs 2048 stream processors to keep up with a 1536 cuda core 680. Titan will have 75% more cuda cores and 50% more memory bandwidth. 8970 is toast

Well if you really look at it, the Titan has as much power as two 690's (Which are 1,000 USD each) so to get that much power it would cost around 2,160 (I included tax)+Shipping so if this titan thing is worth about 1,500 then I guess it still worth it.... But I still want 4 physical cards just to show off
