Great mouse

Posted

Pros: shape, buton placement, adjustable weight, texture, fine grain DPI control

Cons: sensor has non-zero acceleration, profiles software does not live up to its potential

The "best" shape for a mouse is personal, and for me this one works. The same goes for ideal weight, and the G500 comes with a small metal case with foam interior that holds 6x 4.5g weights and 6x 1.7g weights. After using mine for almost a year, there is a small hole worn through this layer where my pinky...

Simple but effective fan speed control

Posted

Pros: Cheap, sturdy construction, longer cords

Cons: No automatic speed adjustments based on temperature, no 3/4 pin connectors (molex only)

Unlike some other models, this one's cords are long and sleeved An analogue knob on the back lets you adjust fan speed from 50%-99% of max. It easily handles the load of 2x 120mm case fans at 50% speed. I use it to keep 3 cheap non-PWM 1,500RPM fans quieter, and it does a good job. Judging from other reviews, this controller works better with fans that are low RPM to begin with - apparently it will not sufficiently quiet very powerful fans. The box claims it...
