E-Peen's L.A Noire Review

Posted

Pros: Original, very long story, replay value, top notch animation, relaxing, great story, etc

Cons: Horrible optimization, FPS capped, requires a great rig, face acting misleading

Hey OCN, welcome to my fifth review! I'll be reviewing L.A Noire. I've wanted this game since launch and very patiently awaited it to be ported to PC. During the Steam Christmas Sales, my great friend gifted it to me when it was on sale for $12. Literally a steal, because this is one of the most interesting games I have played in a long time. Onto the pros & cons! Pros: Incredibly original. Until L.A Noire surfaced, I have never seen nor heard of a game like it. I really hope developers pick up on this and take a swing, because this was a wonderful game that I'd love to play again, with a different title and story. The story is very long, at least to me it is. I have around 13 hours...

E-Peen's Logitech z-5500 5.1 Digital Speaker System Review

Posted

Pros: Volume control, nice control pod, strong bass, very long speaker cables, amazing build quality, etc

Cons: Not for music, a little expensive for the overall sound quality, highs & mids are slightly poor, control pod cable is short

Hey OCN, welcome to my fourth review! This will be a review on the Logitech z-5500 5.1 Digital Speaker System. This speaker system has always been a big discussion on OCN when it comes to speaker systems and just audio in general. It has been used in countless arguments, and many people just do not like it, they feel it's too expensive, etc. I'm inclined to agree that it IS too expensive for the sound quality, however, I do feel it is still a great speaker system. Onto the pros & cons! Pros: Volume. The volume on this speaker system is impressive. For example, I really never need to turn my speakers more than 3 volume bars for a normal listening experience, and even sometimes that's...

E-Peen's Corsair H70 Review

Posted

Pros: Self contained, unobtrusive, aesthetically pleasing, very well built, relatively cheap, etc

Cons: Cooling performance it offers isn't spectacular, instructions are poorly written, no pump control outside of the BIOS, etc

Hey OCN, welcome to my third review! This will be a review on the Corsair H70 cooler. I've had this cooler for quite some time now, and it's been through a few overclocks, so I figured I'd write a review. Onto the pros & cons! Pros: Self contained. No maintenance whatsoever, aside from getting the dust out of the radiator and fans every few months, that's as hard as it gets as far as maintenance and upkeep goes. It's very unobtrusive. Even with my current mid tower, I still have a little bit of room for things. With a full tower, there should really be no issue for space at all. Aesthetically pleasing, it looks really cool. Doesn't clash really, and it'll look good in any color...

E-Peen's Creative Fatal1ty MKII Headset Review

Posted

Pros: Comfortable, relatively cheap, lightweight, great sound quality, removable mic, long cord, aesthetically pleasing, etc

Cons: Breaks easily, headband is too thin, very thin cable

Hey OCN, welcome to my second review! This will be a review on the Creative Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MKII. I caught this headset on Newegg when it was only $49.99 with no added shipping cost, so I jumped right on it. I game a lot and such, and everyone on Skype always complains of my echo since I previously used my webcam as a mic, so even if this turned out to be a mediocre headset, the price was right, and I needed a headset, so I bought this! Onto the pros & cons! Pros: It's very comfortable. I own a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 headphones that I primarily use for mixing EDM. I cannot wear my pair of 280s for general use because I personally find them to get very...

E-Peen's Das S Ultimate (Blank, Cherry MX Blue) Review

Posted

Pros: 2 USB 2.0, NKRO, Blank, Mac compatible!, Darth Vader approved, extra long USB cable, etc

Cons: Glossy finish (really only the con I can think of with this keyboard, but big enough to really turn me off of it)

Okay, here we go..... my first review! I've overlooked this since the new platform launch, and let me say, this is awesome, and I'll definitely be doing many reviews I'm reviewing the Das Model S Ultimate Keyboard. This keyboard is stepping down to a backup keyboard because I'm getting a Ducky Shine, so I figured before I retired it, I'd write a nice review for those interested. So let's start! First off, this a great keyboard. This was actually my first mechanical keyboard, and I'm glad I chose this specific keyboard. The price isn't too much, but it isn't too cheap either. However, with every mechanical keyboard, you get what you pay for. So for the price of $129.99 including...
