Great headset

Pros: Comfortable, clear mic, proper 5.1 surround sound

Cons: Needs some tweaking to make them sound better, clamps larger heads, kinda heavy

I bought these to replace my dead Arctic P321s, and I'll sum these up in a phrase: "mind = blown". They have a beautiful clear sound (but they do need tweaking for the best sound). I found that I got the best quality by jacking the sub volume all the way up, and having centre, front and rear volumes at about 1/2 on the inline remote. PROTIP: When setting these up, make sure that these aren't set to have full-range speakers in Windows, it will kill the bass and make everything sound flat. These have a nice low impedance, but I would recommend an add-in sound card. When I added a Creative SB VX 5.1, it made these sound even better than before with onboard audio. The mic is really clear too....

Decent case, not without its flaws though

Pros: Looks awesome, has 2 side windows, massive top exhaust fan, native 2.5" HDD/SSD mounts

Cons: Non-standard fan sizing, no cable routing, poor airflow

We needed a smaller case for our family PC, so when upgrade time rolled around, I chose this case. In hindsight, I probably should have looked a little better at what people said about this case. it is really easy to assemble a PC in, thanks to the case coming apart by removing the thumbscrews. there are 3 thumbscrews holding the lid on, which slides back then lifts off, and then about 8 thumbscrews (!) holding the motherboard tray inside the case. the PSU cage and drive cage both use normal screws though. When I finished putting the computer together, I realised, "*** am I going to do about all these extra cables from my PSU?". Because my PSU is non-modular, I now have about a million...

Great budget card

Posted

Pros: Low temps, quiet cooler, good value

Cons: Power connector on front of card, RPM readout on fans is a bit wacky

This card is pretty damn good, especially for the price. It also cools well with the stock twin fan cooler. At 900MHz/1100MHz on core and memory respectively, it was only running at 52 degrees under load. The fan RPM readouts in Afterburner are a bit wacked though, it was reading more than 13,000RPM for the GPU fans when they are at 100%! This may be Afterburner's problem, but I'm not sure.
