Powerful, clean output, low price, but noisy, heavy, and unsightly.

Pros: Powerful, clean output, low price, good support (despite their poor website), solid all steel construction, user replaceable batteries.

Cons: Huge, ugly, extremely heavy with no good way to lift it, lack of modern features, has a very loud cooling fan whenever loaded and continues for 20 min

There is one more con than mentioned, and it is the reason why I have owned two, instead of just one. The stock batteries have the potential to swell up to the point that they physically cannot be removed from the unit without drilling/sawing into it, which is obviously dangerous with lead acid batteries, will void any warranty, and may damage or even kill your unit. The steel construction of the unit is solid, but the plastic casings on the stock batteries aren't! Granted, the batteries went through several years of very extremely heavy use (short power outages at least once a day, substantial voltage boosting for probably half of it's total life, etc) , and the unit caught a few small...

Excellent single-location, inexpensive, high quality headphones.

Pros: Incredibly comfortable, Great sound, Huge sound-stage for inexpensive closed cans, no need for amp (though it certainly helps).

Cons: Somewhat fragile (not a problem with proper care), Non-portable, Bass might be too light for some users, just OK sound isolation.

The first thing you will notice about these headphones is that they are huge. I would not suggest using these as portable headphones. They do not fold down, the cable is far too long for portable use, they take up about as much space as wearing a top-hat, and unless you have a huge head, there is a good chance that they would fall off if you were to do anything particularly active. If you want something that can be used somewhere besides your computer desk, I suggest you look elsewhere. With that out of the way, lets get to what makes these great. They are incredibly comfortable - so much so that I can wear them literally all day long without any discomfort. They are very light weight,...

Pros: Fairly comfortable, Very light-weight, helps filter out horrible omnipresent blue filter, reduces glare from pure white on screen, slight mag is cool.

Cons: sub-optimal fit (for me), discolors images (can be good for games, but is terrible for photoshop and such).

Overall, they do indeed "enhance" the screen viewing experience. Personally, I'd have picked a different frame that fits me better (and I'd love to try the clear lens color option as I do work with photos and digital art), and they're not perfect, but they more or less do what they're designed to do. If you understand what they're designed for and are still willing to drop the somewhat large amount of cash needed to buy one of these, I'd say go for it.
