I think that MS needs to go back to the drawing board with the xbox 360. Remake it into a slim 360 or something...

This idea seems to work for sony... PS1 PS2 PSP.... all had major hardware revisions.... And they work a lot better.

I like to think if a xbox 360 as a pc with a slightly unstable OC... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...

I am leaning towards the idea that it is not Halo 3 that is crashing the xbox's... Its the extensive play time that is killing the consoles that MS has already admitted are all defective from factory...

So, Once MS declares that they are now making %99 reliable xbox's and people are not playing the game for 20 hours straight with there xbox right next to there heater. Then i might re-think the idea of the game killing systems.....

That's what those other fanboys on here want you to think, but honestly i just thought the first 2 were boring and definetly not up to their respective hype. I'm really only buying to play with some work buddies on Deathmatch and CTF. I'll probably go thru the campaign with my gf's little brother who loves the game, we also co-op'd Gears which was cool. Though he likes to wander off a little to much.
oh. but i don't really think that a freaking game can cause the 360 to mess up

This has nothing to do with Halo and everything to do with a poorly made machine. I am now on my 4th and last 360. I went sooo long without any issues then one right after the other. I barely use mine so I figured I would be a lucky ones. Guess not, HD went, DVD Rom went 2x and then...Oh yes..the dreaded 3RRoD

Could this game also be stressing the console more so it overheats faster? Just throwing something out there as I have never played Halo or XBox360.

Instead of everyone attacking Halo (which is popular), the Xbox360 (popular), and Microsoft in general (very popular) why don't you just wait and see what is actually causing the issue?

Apparently RRoD's are not caused solely by overheating nor can a game cause them on its own. Read THIS

Wow, I'll be sure to cool my 360 when I get it very well.

Yay for old 80mm case fans!

My guess is that its not the game that's doing this, per say.

Rather, I think this is a game that really stresses out a 360 and people who let dust and stuff collect in their units may have an environment that makes their 360 hotter than normal. This probably leads to data corruption and stability issues.

Just a thought.
