****.
Stupid narrow minded people these days. Halo 3 is quite good, gameplay wise. But the graphics are HORRIBLE... The textures and character models are nice but what makes the graphics HORRIBLE is the Draw Distance. According to Bungie, Halo 3 was SUPPOSE to have up 10 MILES in draw distance. Well in the final release, its only about 10-15 Feet! I hope a patch can fix this!

Sadly, apparently adding a troll to your ignore list does not make you immune to new, trolling threads.
__________________Anyway, this was actually predicted wayyy back. Follow me if you will. 1. Halo 3 is going to be really popular, millions are going to play it 2. X-box 360 RRoD is caused basically, by usage 3. Lots of Halo 3 usage = Lots of X-box 360 usage 4. Lots of X-Box 360s gets RRoD. A smaller wave of RRoD also hit when Forza 2 came out. The car nerds would play for hours online, and then would blame Forza 2 when they got the RRoD, lol... I personally got my RRoD with Guitar Hero 2, which I had been playing incessantly as well... but like many articles point out, the 360 simply has the superior online experience and games library... Luckily, I hear doing the whole warranty repair thing isn't too bad... Microsoft owned up to their engineering mistake. It cost them $1,000,000,000+, but it bought them a year long lead in the console wars.

I love how half the people here just focused on Red Rings, when Halo is also causing HDD Failures. That isn't bad manufacturing, it's a bad game design which is ruining hdds. Though i bet alot of the Red Rings are from people overplaying their consoles after letting it sit and not touching it since gears.

It's actually very easy to do. There are Koolance kits available for the 360. It's requires undoing the hex screws and drilling two small wholes in the backside of the case. There's many tutorials online:

Xbox 360 is a great machine, PS3 really can't compare. In the end though... Burn 'em both for teh 1337 PC. PC Gaming FTW

The 360 is definitely a winner in terms of online gaming and all that but otherwise I wouldn't touch a 360. The PS3 has a failure rate of next to none. I'd take a PS3 any day but I'm a halo fan and also, I can't afford a PS3. Can't imagine a game causing stuff like this to happen. My friends havent had any problems.

I think the combination of it probably being so taxing and everyone getting it at once and playing all day is killing boxes all over. I think the biggest mistake with the 360 was insufficient cooling. They should have had OCN do a custom cooler for it, then there would never be any rings of death!!
