i dont care if they port pc fps' to console or wherever.

aslongas the game was build first for pc, i could't care less. What i care about, is games that are ported from a limited console to pc.

I understand the limitations of consoles but I am pretty sure that they could have plenty of foliage on a console. I honestly don't see how foliage and eye candy affect game play?

The PS3 has a core dedicated to AI so I am sure it could do a decent job with the game with less eye candy and to someone who wears glasses the game would most likely be the same if they took them off.

It, depends on how much crysis will sell on the PC, Cevat has clearly inidcated that crysis can come to consoles but there are some "limitations"; this statement is entirely true statement, since consoles are created long before any of the new graphics cards are released and certain compromising of hardware has to be acomplished or else there would be significant loss in performance.

Obviously biasism will be shown here due to very fact that Crytek major partner is NVIDIA;NVIDIA want people to purchase their cards because its business...

Cevat, IMO seems to give mixed signals about why they can't port it to consoles, when ever he is asked that question.

X360 barely runs Halo 3 and the physics in it are crap. I'd shudder to think what they'd have to nerf to get it looking semi-decent. The PS3 might have a shot at it. Don't get me wrong, gameplay is what makes Halo 3 great. If games were solely judged on how the game looked Halo 3 would have tanked.

If you've been in a Big Team Battle on Halo 3 you know what I'm talking about. Horrible framerates.

I'm not sure what the point of your post was, and seeing as you quoted me I feel obliged to respond.

What I said in my post was that Yerli specifically said that due to consoles' lack of working RAM, that something from the game would have be lost in the transition to consoles. Whether this loss would be manifested in the form of visuals or something else, I said I didn't know, but something has to be lost.

I don't know if it'll be the level of detail, quality of textures, smartness of AI, expanse of level, draw distance, fluidity of gameplay, the introduction of loading sequences, etc etc, but something has to give. When something is sacrificed, you affect the way the game is received. The things that make Crysis such a big game on PC is the way they've incorporated so many advanced graphical graphical techniques into the same game. Start dropping some out and you loose the 'heart' of the game. This is the point Yerli is making - he doesn't want to do console Crysis if the game is going to be fundamentally different.

Also, my humourous 'console fanboy' quote wasn't directed at you, not sure why you decided to justify your position. I would go as far as to say that no-one on OCN would not come up with the quote that I made, purely because of the target audience of this forum.

If the only reason you don't want it on a console is because you are afraid of flamewars, sad. Some of us can't afford 2000$$ computers.

Point to where I said you'd need a £1000 computer

I'm not going to start arguing about specs and money though. If you don't know how to, or can't afford to build a reasonable spec PC, then I feel for you. Keep hoping for console Crysis.
