Wow those DX10 shot look great. But is it worth changing to Vista for?

yeah they do. Good to see a developer really making use of DX10. Still, DX9 is still pretty as hell. And it wont make me change until 2008 when more dx10 games come pilling out and hence the new cards, and it reinforces the replayability of crysis for when I do go DX10

Not sure I like the motion blur in DX10 but the water IMO looks dramatically better. Seems that the DX10 version shows more objects further away, such as more trees in the distance on beach and montains. The jungles look more flush and filled compared to dx9. I have a feeling this is going to have a decent performance hit and its not the best sign that there is no AA on the DX10 screens.

Looks like the lighting is nicer. Hopefully the frame rates will be better with DX10 also.

Here is the biggest question - what is the frame rate hit going to be in DirecX10? None of those screens matter if the game is dropping frames like crazy. If they can obtain a decent and steady frame-rate for the average rig (like mine or other peoples), then I think the switch to Vista would be worth it.

Have to say, I don't care for the motion blur in DirecX10.

DX10 in Crysis gives you a lot of features... but most of them cannot be appreciated in screenshots.
