Yay ATi makin a slight comeback! I hope that ATi really beats nVidia's a** in the upcoming release of the 2950's. Maybe if ATi wins this, then nVidia will feel the need to release a new high end card. They haven't really had a reason to release a card better than an ultra so far.

EDITE my bad it was the 8600.
MAP:Shinri La 640MB 2560x1600:26min,43max,34avg. 1600x1200:44min,63max,59avg 320MB 2048x1536:31min,57max,44avg 1600x1200:38min,63max,59avg MAP:Heat Ray 640MB 1600x1200:42min,63max,59avg 2560x1600:20min,47max,34avg 320MB 1600x1200:43min,63max,59avg 2048x1536:30min,62max,48avg Even thought the res is a little different on the realy high res setting its still not 50-100$ different.I almost feal sorry for people that bought the 640MB.Im sure that if they did the 320MBs just a tiny bit higher at 2560x1600 the two cards would put out the same or at least very close.the 1600x1200 scores are almost the same.

.............I don't see ANY test where they paired the 320MB and the 640MB 8800GTS together on the same map. You are confusing it with the 8600GTS.

Umm.... The 8800 GTs 640 wasn't part of the test. It was the 8600 that got smoked by the 8800.

I don't think Vsync is a good idea for comparisons......but according to the minimum FPS it's pretty much the same old boring story with most other games: 8800GTS < 2900XT < 8800GTX
The mid-range battle was interesting though. HD 2600XT finally aims for 8600GTS and strikes!
